The Ceremonial signing of the Financing Agreement for Vanuatu Civil Society Organisations Support & Technical Cooperation Facility (CSO-TCF), between the European Union and Vanuatu, occurred on the 7th of July 2020 in Suva valued at 6 million Euros.
The Fiji National University (FNU) extended its boundaries to provide quality tertiary-level programmes in the Pacific region, following the signing a franchise agreement with the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT).
The agreement was signed in Suva today (9th November) by FNU Vice Chancellor Professor Nigel Healey and Acting Principal VIT Jack Takalo Graham. FNU Vice Chancellor Professor Nigel Healey said they were excited with the new partnership as it provided VIT with an opportunity to offer a variety of programmes that were in demand.
Professor Healey said FNU ensures it provides Fiji and the Pacific's Human Resources needs through the delivery of highest quality and standards of teaching and training to all campuses.
The Vanuatu HighCommission in Fiji has provided financial support for Vanuatu students, towards a major Futsal tournament scheduled for April 29, 2018. Showing his passion for soccer, the former Laucala student and former Suva City soccer player, Commission to Fiji, Nikenike Vurobaravu handed FJ$400 to the Vanuatu students yesterday.

The Vanuatu High Commissioner, His Excellency Mr. Nikenike Vurobaravu presented his credential to the President of the Republic of Fiji His Excellency, Mr. Jioji Konrote today 14th November, 2017. This is just after the Head of State His Excellency Mr. Tallis Moses Obed accredited and commissioned him on the 12th October.
